Year 5 Trip
Last Friday, Year 5 enjoyed a trip to Horton Kirby to learn more about our geography topic ‘rivers’.
As it was so wet, we spent the morning in the classroom learning more about the local area, experimenting with permeable and impermeable rocks and creating meanders to learn about erosion.
In the afternoon, we went down to the River Darent and learned all about river flow in different parts of the river. The children loved getting into the water, although there were some very soggy socks by the end of the afternoon!
We had a really great day and the children really showed the school’s Core Values of responsibility and respect. Thank you to the parents that came along to help us, we couldn’t do these trips without you!
