Well done, Leo!

At the beginning of the half term break, Leo from Year 5 was invited to play in an International tournament in Barcelona, as part of his academy football team.

It was challenging to play in 30 degree heat and as the age groups work differently in Spain so Leo played against those a year group older.

The standard of football on display from countries including Spain, France, Sweden and Palestine, was exceptionally high but despite this, his team only lost one game in the group stages to the eventual Spanish winners, and he came away with the top scorer award in his year group.

It was an amazing experience which he wants to repeat! Well done, Leo.
