Term 5: Welcome back and reminder of COVID-19 protocols

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are very excited about welcoming the children back after their Easter holiday!

We would like to remind you of the protocols for the beginning and the end of the day. Please ensure that it is just one adult dropping off and picking up. As soon as you have picked up your child, leave the school site immediately. Please arrive at your child’s pick up and drop off time. We would also like to give a polite reminder that no mobile phones should be used on the school site.

 

Beginning of the school day

No child from KS1 can enter via the top gate

Gates (top and bottom) open 8.40 am – 8.50 am (siblings, Year 5 and Year 1)

8.50 am – 9.00 am (Year 6, 4, 3, 2 and EYFS) 

 

End of the school day (one-way system)

Gates (top and KS1) open at 3.05 pm

All siblings and all children from Year 5 and Year 1 released at 3.10 pm

All children from Year 6, Year 4, Year 3, Year 2 and EYFS released at 3.20 pm

Gates close at 3.25 pm

Please do not arrive before 3.05 pm

 

We would also like to inform you of your child’s P.E. days and the expectation regarding their P.E. kit.

Pupils must wear their full P.E. kit on their designated days. At Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough P.E. kit comprises of:

  • Plain white t-shirt (preferably round neck so that the children can tell the difference between this and their school t-shirt!).
  • Black/navy sports shorts/skort (no tight cycling shorts).
  • Black/navy/grey tracksuit trousers (no leggings).
  • Black/navy/grey jumper (no hood).
  • Trainers or plimsolls

The P.E. days are as follows:

Year R – Wednesday

Year 1 – Wednesday and Thursday

Year 2 – Thursday and Friday

Year 3 – Monday and Thursday

Year 4 – Tuesday and Friday

Year 5 – Wednesday and Thursday

Year 6 – Tuesday and Friday

 

We hope you have had an enjoyable Easter holiday and we look forward to being able to have the children in for the whole of the summer term!
