At Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough we have a set of Core Values which were chosen with the aim of supporting the children to develop skills and traits that extend beyond the classroom. We believe that through our values of Aspiration, Resilience, Respect, Responsibility and Courage we can encourage the children of East Borough to become lifelong learners and contribute to wider society.
At East Borough we don’t have sets of rules, just our East Borough Code that we all abide by: Be kind, be safe, be the best you can be. This overarching code links to our Class Charters where the children identify how they are going to behave to enable all pupils to have a great learning experience.
Each term, the children and staff discuss what the East Borough Code and Core Values mean to them. There is a focus for each term and the adults in school promote this through assemblies, on posters around school, on school newsletters and on banners as you arrive at the main entrance.
The East Borough Code and Core Values help to establish a calm and purposeful atmosphere in school. We hope that you get the opportunity to experience this for yourself when your child starts their school journey with us.
