Wellbeing
What is mental health?
We all have mental health. Mental health is about our feelings, our thinking, our emotions and our moods. Looking after mental health is important.
We all have small feelings every day. These sometimes feel strong and overwhelming, whether happy or sad, but they go away before too long.
Sometimes we experience big feelings. These feel strong and overwhelming for a long time. They stop us doing what we want to in our lives.
The wellbeing of both children and adults is a priority at VIPS East Borough. We provide the children with a range of opportunities to develop their social and emotional skills and use a graduated approach to our wellbeing and pastoral offer.
We work tirelessly with our pupils, parents, teachers and external agencies to ensure that our pupils have their mental heath and wellbeing needs addressed appropriately.
Please find a copy of our wellbeing and pastoral care offer here. This not an exhaustive list but contains many of the resources and interventions we offer.
