Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Part-time
Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough is looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team.
The role is to cover whole classes for scheduled release time and for absence. This means that the role can be diverse, teaching across the school in different classes at different times. Planning and support are offered by teachers and subject leaders and when not covering, you will support classes, groups and individual children.
The successful candidate will need to hold an HLTA qualification or be able to demonstrate recent and extensive experience of covering whole classes within a primary school setting.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has the highest expectations for learning and behaviour
- Is confident and skilled in leading whole classes for all curriculum lessons
- Is confident in managing behaviour successfully
- Understands how to adapt teaching and learning for different groups of children
- Can liaise effectively with teachers and Heads of Year on planning and class arrangements
- Is a team-player
- Is flexible and adaptable in response to the needs of the school
