National School Sports Week
We’re excited to let you know that EAST BOROUGH is taking part in National School Sports Week 2025, a nationwide celebration of the role of sport and play in young people’s lives.
Run by the Youth Sport Trust, this year’s campaign marks 30 years of supporting children to be Always Active. The aim is simple: to help every child enjoy 60 minutes of physical activity a day.
Throughout the week selected year groups will have a go at: Skateboarding, Table tennis, Golf, Karate, Rugby tots, Korfball, a Rapid-Fire Cricket Inter-house tournament and lunch time challenges!
Monday 16th: All children can come to school wearing their own sporty clothes. Assembly by Adam McEvoy, England’s Power Chair Head Coach.
Tuesday 17th: KS1 Sports Morning 9.15 – 11am Year 6 – Lower Grange Farm activity day.
Wednesday 18th: GKR Karate assembly. Year 3/4 VIPS Korfball tournament.
Thursday 19th: KS2 Sports Morning 9.15 – 11.15am
3.20pm – You are invited to find out about Korfball, and have a go with your child after school, on the MUGA.
Friday 20th: VIAT Primaries Sports day final. 1 boy and 1 girl from each year group will compete against the other VIAT primary schools.
